The Shady Glen Bed & Breakfast is a brand new getaway in Central North Carolina. Our winters are mild, and our summers are gorgeous. Surrounded by the natural greenery with the twists and turns of the river that winds through the property. The secret hideaway is built with a beautiful log home structure. The Shady Glen currently offers one suite so it is important to get your reservation in early to enjoy this special place. Guests will find themselves enchanted with the beauty they find just outside the door of their peaceful getaway. Come discover this one-of-a-kind “wilderness escape” right here in the middle of North Carolina!
When a guest arrives, they will find a private entrance to their suite facing a beautiful forest and a river just below their entrance. Even before entering the room, guests will be drawn to the newly constructed landing that is set in the protection of the large shady trees and overlooks the river.
Upon entering The Shady Glen, guests will be drawn in by the large sectional couch with the many pillows inviting them to leave their cares at the door and relax. The large HDTV promises to offer a movie or two…if there is time. Just beyond the couch is the quaint table hand fashioned for this specific retreat. The walls are constructed with lumber to give the place a touch of the old and a feeling of the strength the place carries. As the guests continue into the room, the delectable treats that await them on the wooden countertop will be too much to pass up. Your heart will beat an extra beat when you lay eyes on the luxurious bathtub with the stone wall and the antique faucet.
Even the sink and mirrors are of such great beauty and taste. If your senses aren’t overwhelmed, you’d take a look at the double shower available to you as well and you couldn’t help but smile. Of course you’d only use that if you didn’t want the experience of the showers outside in the private shower area constructed with sturdy cedar.
